Just to go along with your comments about the meetups and community building, I have to agree completely. I went to my first FanFest in 2008 and it was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, and definitely looked forward to returning in 2009 and 2010. You definitely get the feeling the Eve community is very tight there, which is one of the reasons the debacles of the end parties in 2009 and 2010 were so frustrating. I hear a lot of the problems were cleared up this year though, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with next April’s.
